Korea National Pension Calculator 🏦
The 2026 pension reform is in effect. See what extra comes out of your salary now, how much it rises each year to 2033, and roughly what you'll receive later.
"Pay more, receive more" — measured against your own paycheck
Korea's 2026 reform raised the premium rate for the first time in decades — 9.5% now, climbing 0.5%p a year to 13% by 2033 — while lifting the income replacement rate to 43%. The hard part is knowing what that means for your salary. Enter your monthly income and this calculator shows this year's extra burden, the full year-by-year schedule, and a simplified estimate of your future monthly pension.
Worth knowing
- Employees pay half — the "total premium" column includes the employer share; only half leaves your payslip.
- There's a cap — income above 6.37M KRW/month isn't charged, so high earners' increases plateau.
- Claim your credits — military service (up to 24 months) and childbirth (from the first child) count as contribution months; each extra year changes your pension by about 5%.
