What is Word Chain for Kids?
Word chain (kkeutmarit-gi) is a classic Korean word game: you say a word that starts with the last syllable of the previous word. This kids' version keeps it gentle. The AI cat, Nyangi, replies using only simple everyday words — animals, fruit, food, and objects — so children aren't stumped by hard vocabulary. The relaxed mode has no timer, and a hint button shows a few words that would work next.
How to play
- Press Start; Nyangi says the first word.
- Type a word beginning with the last syllable of Nyangi's word (e.g. 사과 → 과자).
- Stuck? Tap Show Hint 💡 to see easy words that fit.
- You can also speak: tap the microphone and say a word.
For parents and teachers
- Safe words: validated against the Korean standard dictionary; profanity is filtered out.
- No frustration: losing is met with encouragement, not a harsh game-over.
- Sound awareness: hearing first and last syllables builds a feel for how words are built.
- Two modes: no-timer "relaxed" for little ones, 45-second "challenge" when they're ready.
